The Story of Mislay - Beta Boyfriend
As described by the development team (Chees), Mislay was the first BF prototype who had to go through a series of harsh tests. Each resurrection during the test destroyed him both physically and mentally. After being replaced by the current Boyfriend, Mislay was discarded and forgotten.
Rap Battle Contents
The current boyfriend (in a strange and stupid way) decides to challenge Mislay's nearly decomposed corpse to a rap battle. Despite being a "corpse", Mislay accepts the rap battle. This battle becomes a symbolic end for Mislay, a soul trapped between life and death.
The two characters will face each other in a single battle lasting 2 minutes and 05 seconds to a single track called ''Closure''. With a lively melody but with a special color, "Closure" emphasizes the emotional ending, closing the tragic journey of the forgotten hero. This is an extremely unforgettable song.
Art and Creative Concept
Sprites & Art: Created by CheeseWithCake, Mislay's visuals are realistic and creepy, depicting decomposition and mental pain.
Music & Coding: The combination of nikislashdot (Chart & Coding) and CheeseWithCake (Music) created a perfectly rhythmic experience while conveying the message of the story.
Unique Gameplay and Mechanics
While keeping the FNF rap battle structure intact, this Mod introduces a unique mechanic that players will have to get used to again:
Inverted Notes Mechanic
Normally, the notes will move from top to bottom and you have to press when they reach the bottom border. However, in this Mod:
The notes will move upwards.
You have to catch them (press the key) as soon as they reach the border of their shape at the top.
This inverted mechanic requires high concentration and quick reflexes, bringing a new challenge to even veteran FNF players.
Control keys: Use the 4 arrow keys (Up, Down, Left, Right) or the WASD key cluster to make the notes move up.
